Global Warming. Panic or Reality ?

Global warming is already under way. The evidence is vast and the urgency of taking action becomes clearer with every new scientific study. Some of the most obvious signs are visible in the Arctic, where rising temperatures and melting ice are dramatically changing the region’s unique landscapes and wildlife—as well as people’s lives and livelihoods. Across the globe, other early warning signs include melting glaciers, shifting ranges of plants and animals, and the earlier onset of spring.

1. What is global warming?
Global warming is the current rise in the average temperature of Earth's oceans and atmosphere. The scientific consensus is that global warming is occurring and was initiated by human activities, especially those that increase concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels. This finding is recognized by the national science academies of all the major industrialized countries and is not rejected by any scientific body of national or international standing.

2. What is the process involved in the greenhouse effect?
Naturally occurring greenhouse gases have a mean warming effect of about 33 °C. The major greenhouse gases are water vapor. Another gases are carbon dioxide, methane and ozone. The big problem in the world is : Human activity since the Industrial Revolution has increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, leading to increased radiative forcing from CO2, methane, tropospheric ozone and nitrous oxide.

3. What signs warn us about global warming?

Signs are visible in the Arctic, where rising temperatures and melting ice are dramatically changing the region’s unique landscapes and wildlife—as well as people’s lives and livelihoods.

4. Can you quote another term for global warming?
Another terms for global warming are across the globe, melting glaciers, shifting ranges of plants and animals, the earlier onset of spring and deforestation.

5. Watch the video and explain this idea: Global warming: panic or reality?
I think the global warming is a reality. In my opinion the global warming is already under way. It is a very big catastrophe in our days. I think the country's are don't did a lot, for stopped this problem.

THE BIG QUESTION:
What can we do to stop global warming? Suggest five ideas.
- We stopped the computers, television and another appliances.
- We go to sites with a bicycle or with a public transport.
- We put the plastics, glass and another materials in the correct container.
- We off the lights when we don't need the electricity.
- We have a shower, don't have a bath. The water is the most important thing in the Earth.
